Frequently asked questions
We are a dedicated group of athletes, coaches and sport enthusiasts who aim to support each other, fan the flame of past and current passions, and work together to create opportunities for mature athletes to reach their athletic aspirations. USA’s Masters Team mission is to inspire and enable elite masters class athletes the opportunity and resources to achieve competitive excellence.
-USA Masters Team members are athletes, coaches, and/or sport enthusiasts who support the mission of USA Masters Team, would like be a part of this unique community, participate in USA Masters Team seminars and events, and receive the exclusive benefits offered to membership.

-USA Masters Team (travel team) members are the athletes who have qualified in their respective sports in order to compete in Masters Games events and who have committed to trainings, travel together, and align during IMGA events. As of now, these travel teams are paid for be athletes out-of-pocket.
-Membership Benefits: access to training bulletins, exercise and nutrition plans, and updates that are geared towards the mature athlete.USA Masters Team membership will have access to unique training opportunities, seminars, and a network of like-minded individuals who have the same desire to train and compete at a high level.

-Opportunity for USA Masters Team Travel Team sponsorship (discounts off official travel team apparel, accommodations, and swag to specific games; as well as, unique sponsor gifts and donations).

-Ability to qualify as a National Masters Team Sponsored Athlete. In addition to the benefits of an annual membership, WE HOPE IN THE FUTURE TO OFFER eligible USA Masters Team members the opportunity to be a sponsored athlete. These athletes will receive partial funding for Masters Games events. This sponsorship will be based on athlete’s skill level, former experience, trial process, and sponsorship application.
-This is specific to the sport of choice and the guidelines in accordance with the specific masters’ event. Please read each competition’s guidelines and athlete’s eligibility.

-In regards to specific IMGA events (i.e. World Masters Games or regional (European, Asian, or Pan American) Masters Games. These are “open” competitions to any who would like to participate, assuming you abide by the criteria of the event’s athlete eligibility guidelines, and are of “masters” age.
